That your faith may not fail – (Reposted)

31“Simon, Simon, Satan has asked to sift all of you as wheat. 32But I have prayed for you, Simon, that your faith may not fail. And when you have turned back, strengthen your brothers.” Luke 22:31-32


To everyone who is going through something or in the midst of a battle;

I want you to understand that God is not unaware of whatever situation you are in. He is aware and He’s done something about it.

In actual fact He did something about it before you became aware of the situation. Jesus laid the situation before Peter and let him know, ‘I have taken care of it’. I prayed for you. We have the Holy Spirit in us today helping us as Jesus helped Peter, interceding on our behalf to the Father, and Jesus being our advocate (1 John 2:1) pleading our case to the Father the Judge, your Father who loves you as well. You see, there is no way you can lose.

  1. Understand that Satan is the one behind every evil experience you are going through. He asked to have you, and to sift you.
  2. What you need to hold unto (strongly) and prove undefeated is your faith. Hold on to your trust in God. Hold on to the infallibility of the Word of the God.
  3. You will come out at the other end. There is always an end to every trial. Look forward to a victorious end.
  4. Now when you come out of the situation. You have the assignment of strengthening your brethren, and I believe it will be with the same encouragement that you have received from God.

John 16:33

“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”

John 14:1
Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.

Romans 8:37
No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.

Romans 8:26
Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words (ESV).

1 John 2:13
I am writing to you, fathers, because you know Him who is from the beginning. I am writing to you, young men, because you have overcome the evil one. I have written to you, children, because you know the Father.

Isaiah 54:17

No weapon formed against you shall prosper,
And every tongue which rises against you in judgment
You shall condemn.
This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord,
And their righteousness is from Me,”
Says the Lord.

You are the blessed of the Lord. Go ahead and walk in the victory your Lord procured for you. Shalom.

Re-Discovering God

I hear the Lord saying: “I am more interested in what we are to each other than what you do for me.

I am more interested in the state of your relationship with me than whatever assignment you are carrying out in my name.

When you fix your relationship with me, the question of what you are to do for me will be resolved.

Abide in me. John 15: 4-5

4 Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me.

5 “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.

If you must survive this generation, then you have to hug me and stay glued to me.”

Chase after God and your relationship with your spouse, your boss, your co-workers, your family or any relationship important to you will become better. Don’t abandon God in the name of winning anyone’s approval .

Speaking of marriage, I make reference to the marriage triangle illustration with God on top of the triangle and both the man and woman at each lower ends. As you each seek God earnestly which means the closer you get to God, the closer you become to each other. 

Prayer:

Lord I need you more than anything in this world.

I know if I feel distant from you, it’s because I have wandered away not because you left or abandoned me.

Lord I now decide to retrace my steps.

I decide to make my relationship with you the most important thing in my life. More important than my family, career, ministry, finances, sports etc.

Help me to make you the core of my focus from now on.

My time with you will be special, we will do whatever you want done. Not follow any man-made instructions but be led by you. I submit to you my father, my Lord.
